Our Team

Meet the people behind Fun 4 Young People — a passionate team committed to supporting children, young people and families to build confidence, wellbeing and positive futures.

Our team brings together a wide range of experience across youth work, education, family support and community engagement. This includes our staff, trustees, volunteers and a wider delivery team of tutors, coaches and specialist practitioners who support our work across services.

Working closely with families, schools and partners, we ensure F4YP’s programmes are safe, inclusive and responsive to the needs of the communities we serve. Together, we are committed to providing high-quality opportunities that help children and young people feel valued, supported and confident to dream big.

Sophie Stock

Chief Executive Officer

Sophie has been part of the organisation for over 10 years.

She leads and represents the charity, setting strategic direction and overseeing annual budgets, fundraising and partnerships. Sophie works closely with the Board of Trustees, staff and external partners to ensure F4YP’s work reflects its values and continues to meet the needs of young people.

Sarah Collins 

Head of Operations

Sarah oversees the charity’s day-to-day activities and supports our CEO to deliver strategic plans and budgets.

She is responsible for ensuring high-quality pastoral support for young people and works closely with schools, families and partners. Sarah also leads the development of programmes while maintaining strong standards in safeguarding, health and safety, and funding compliance.

Sophie Burrows

Pastoral & Wellbeing Champion

Sophie provides holistic pastoral support for young people with a focus on wellbeing and emotional resilience.

She leads on the development and delivery of the REACH programme and supports the use of F4YP’s pastoral toolkit to ensure consistent, high-quality support across services. Sophie works closely with families, schools and partner agencies and supports the delivery and development of after-school and holiday provision aligned with educational and funder priorities.

Charley-Ella Knights-Nizzardi

Pastoral & Engagement Champion

Charley supports young people and their families with a focus on engagement, enjoyment and wraparound care.

She works closely with families, schools and partner agencies to respond to young people’s needs and service outcomes. Charley also supports the delivery of after-school and holiday activities, contributes to programme development, and supports FUN-Raiser activity through community events, marketing support and fundraising events.

Danielle Porteous

Family Support Worker 

Danielle is working on a commissioned project supporting families and children in small rural schools, through the Harpur Trust Accelerator Programme.

She builds trusted relationships with families to understand their needs and provide practical guidance. Danielle works closely with school staff to ensure tailored support, connects families with appropriate resources and fosters strong communication and collaboration to improve outcomes for children.

Liberty Black

Family Support Worker

Liberty is working on a commissioned project supporting families and children in small rural schools, through the Harpur Trust Accelerator Programme.

She builds trusted relationships with families to understand their needs and provide practical guidance. Danielle works closely with school staff to ensure tailored support, connects families with appropriate resources and fosters strong communication and collaboration to improve outcomes for children.

Ravi Duggal

Outreach Worker 

Ravi provides holistic pastoral care and wellbeing support for young people across community settings.

He supports the delivery of after-school clubs, holiday activities and wellbeing programmes, offering one-to-one and group support. Ravi delivers the REACH programme, manages activity logistics and records, and works closely with young people, families, schools and local partners to promote development and F4YP’s values through community outreach.

Lesley Fricket

Outreach Worker 

Lesley is F4YP’s Outreach Worker, supporting young people and families through outreach and targeted pastoral support.

She delivers the REACH programme and provides family support, working closely with schools and partner agencies. Lesley attends multi-agency meetings and supports effective signposting to services to help ensure families receive the right support at the right time.

Cerise Shulver

Youth Worker & FUN-Raiser Champion

Cerise provides holistic pastoral support for young people through after-school and holiday activities.

She ensures delivery meets young people’s needs and funder outcomes while promoting F4YP within the community. Cerise builds strong relationships with schools and partners and supports fundraising through corporate and community partnerships. She also oversees volunteer engagement, social media and marketing to help strengthen the charity’s profile.

Malia Munoz 

Youth Worker 

Malia provides holistic pastoral support for young people and their families with a focus on engagement, enjoyment and wraparound care.

She oversees F4YP’s secondary project, shaping and delivering after-school provision for 12–16-year-olds in under-served areas. Malia works closely with schools, families and partner agencies and supports programme delivery and development, ensuring activities align with young people’s needs and funder requirements.

Our Trustees

James King

James is Chair of Trustees at F4YP and an experienced charity Chair with a professional background in financial services.

Having grown up in a low-income, single-parent household, James strongly relates to the children and young people F4YP supports and credits a youth worker with shaping his future. He joined the Board following F4YP’s transition to independence and uses his local network to support fundraising and partnership development.

Rebecca Ireland 

Becky Ireland.jpg

Rebecca is a charity sector management professional with experience in operational leadership, safeguarding and fundraising.

She is currently Business Operations Manager at a mental health charity. Rebecca acts as F4YP’s Data Protection Officer and Safeguarding Trustee, bringing strong knowledge of the organisation and valuable connections with funders, young people and families.

Claire Rulton

Claire is an experienced accountant and educator with over 25 years’ experience in the industry.

As owner of Addison Accounts & Training and TRF, she provides accountancy training and runs a successful practice. Claire brings strong financial expertise and a commitment to education, supporting F4YP’s strategic development, financial oversight and long-term sustainability in her role as Treasurer.

Caroline Downing 

Caroline.png

Caroline has over 25 years’ experience in education, having worked as a primary teacher, PE Subject Leader, SENDCo and Programme Leader for a PGCE/QTS route.

She is currently Head of Education Partnerships at a Bedford-based charity, working closely with schools and partners to support disadvantaged primary pupils. Caroline brings extensive educational expertise and insight into school-based partnership working.

Peter Cohen OBE

Peter is an experienced school leader with extensive expertise in SEMH and alternative provision.

He has led special schools to Outstanding Ofsted judgements, supported the development of new provisions and worked strategically with local authorities. Awarded an OBE for services to education in 2025, Peter brings strong leadership experience and acts as a Team Teach trainer, supporting F4YP’s work with vulnerable young people.
